This public service announcement is trying to tell people not to text and drive. This poster is pretty bad because it does not do a good job at targeting an audience, nor does it have any fact all evidence behind it. The poster does not really give any good reasons onto why you should not text and drive and really does not convince anyone that it is a real problem. This poster could have added any facts or scare tactics to help convince people to not actually text and drive.  

In light of the election, a video surfaced with a good number of celebrities urging people to go vote. I’m not going into political views, but I think the source was inappropriate. People are influenced by what celebrities say, but they sound so disconnected in this ad. They try to incentivize people to vote by saying that Mark Ruffalo will do a nude scene in his next movie. It takes away from the message by mention something that isn’t really important to anyone. The comedic aspect of the video didn’t seem to work out in a sensitive topic like this, especially when they revealed their affiliation. I feel like many people thought “why should I care about what these celebrities say” at that point. It’s a hard message to address because everyone is going to have different views, so many people won’t agree. I think that using celebrities could work, but just redo the approach to be more mindful.

Personally, I think a source such as BuzzFeed is completely inappropriate for any type of health messages. They are a social media/meme focused, unqualified source for giving people actual fitness or medical advice. I found one example, of many, supposed health advice articles. I think BuzzFeed should stick to their typical posts of memes and unreliable information to entertain their audience, like many social media, so-called “news sites” these days. Health and fitness advice should be left to experts and doctors who went to school to study that, not journalism. The following link is just a video of apparent ab workouts you can do lying down. In an industrialized country, methods similar to the Indonesian kadar counseling cards can be used to strengthen the face-to-face health campaign. Developed countries have the advantage with technology that can enhance the lessons given to health service workers. Television can compile all the necessary information into one video that can be presented at a seminar. If there is access to computers, Skype calls can be utilized if the two parties aren’t in the same location. This also applies with FaceTime on the iPhones which seems like an easier method.
