So we aren't really following the Malevolent podcast very closely and we want to know a few things without listening through all the seasons.
Is it over? As if, the story is over? And is Jarthur canon?

Malevolent is almost over! Just two more episodes! But, Harlan did tease he wanted to make a continuation of it.
As for Jarthur canonically is platonic/friendship because the author wanted to write it that way. (Which a lot of people love, including me, because whatever they got goes beyond normal romantic and/or platonic love, it's entirely their own).
Someone else said this, but canon Jarthur is, "A friendship forged in hell" and I'm down for it
How do you draw coats/trench coats so well?? I wanna draw them so badly but they look so stiff 😭
I'm gonna try to explain this as best as I can and give y'all how I do trench coats.
One thing I do is to make sure that all the lines have flow, even if it's subtle, because it does change how the trench coat looks. Avoid symmetry and use more curves when drawing them.
Another good tip is seeing them in 3D. A lot of the time if we don't consider the objects as 3-Dimensional it could fall flat. Unless your art style is super cartoony (which is more 2D), you'll probably need to take this into consideration.
Also posing your character helps quite a bit. At the end of the day, I'm sure you're drawing the coat over a person, and if you make their poses interesting, the coat will also follow suit and avoid looking stiff.
Lastly, coats aren't that thick or stiff. If we see a lot of trench coats, I think some of us aren't brave enough to move them around more. At least I had to go over this hurdle lol. Especially if you have a character that moves a lot. In the case of me drawing the Malev boys, yeah a lot of them will have rascally moving trench coats hehehe.
A coat's anchor points are usually on your character's shoulders or if you have their hands in the pockets, it's there too. All you need to do is apply cloth physics to it and boom. Your character's trench coat has ✨ personality ✨. Note that even idle poses can have flow on the coat.
I hope this helps you. This is just how my brain draws it. My extra advice is to also look up references of people wearing trench coats as well! It helps seeing how a person wears moves or poses rather than just seeing the coat itself.
