My friendo @requinoesis drew a humanized version of their character Roberto, and I mean come on now. My public reason for drawing him is because I really wanted to try out Requin's pastel colors. My personal reason for drawing him is because Roberto is handsome as heck.

I had to make some compromises on Roberto's details due to trying to keep it close to the Sylvanian Families "brand", as well as the manufacturing limitations on clothes for small toys. in retrospect, that...wasn't necessary, but I wanted him to feel as much like a actual artifact that you could really hold as possible! the shoelaces, for instance, are painted on to the raised bits of the moulded plastic shoes, the jewellery is all roughly the same thickness (too thin and it would be tricky to produce and fragile), and the head has forwards-facing eyes (as per the Sylvanian Families rabbits, for instance, while real rabbits have their eyes on the side of the head)
