yay i was waiting for your asian-am post! & here i thought you were a fan of elementary from the start (like when lucy liu was first cast) & a fan of lea salonga for ages. it's kinda cool to have followed your blog & witness your fan experience with them as like a newbie? lol idk something like that. idk if this is weird to say but i'm sorry you had a crappy upbringing 😔 & i hope that whatever burdens you're carrying from it will lessen each day. sadly it seems like a common experience.
HAHA no I wasn’t! I’m kind of a fake fan in that respect. But at least I’m here now! Honestly, I wasn’t much into like pop culture and stuff until 2 years ago... Like I wasn’t as TV crazed as I am now. And for Lea, I’ve always known she’d existed, but I never Loved her Loved her until recently!
And no, it’s totally fine! I think now I feel a bit better about it since I know my experience was crappy and that it wasn’t normal and that I know that it wasn’t okay. I feel like when I was younger, I just dealt with it and pretended all of this was a normal thing for a normal kid to go through. But yeah it does seem like a common experience... I’m not sure if any of my friends in real life were the same as me, though. They either had chill parents or were smart enough and motivated enough to be Good Enough for their parents. Guess I just lucked out with my lack of brains and my lack of Good Parents.
