(ooc: yess I'd like your explanation on the song choices, I'm the same and have playlists for every character lol... for me, he's Dangerous by Depeche Mode or Rock Me Amadeus by Falco, mostly)
OOC: I love those songs and I totes see your vision! Let me run down in short form my explanations.
Paper Dolls - STOMACH BOOK
We never see a truly Armand POV but I would assume he's haunted by past relationships but mostly his first formative one. This song is (to me) Armand singing to both Marius and Louis. Marius in the past tense, Louis during the 77 years of pleading for genuine connection. (Also doll motif.)
But Not For Me - STOMACH BOOK
He will never be truly loved. Witnessing LouStat is witnessing Heaven from his own personal Hell.
the golden spiral - devi mcallion
The conflicting self-imagery of being both victim and perpetrator. Abused child treated as an object and manipulative stalking monster all the same.
The Tender Surrender - EAT BABIES?
Another Devi song. She really captures the feeling of being repeatedly being victimized and this song is Armand having pattern recognition, knowing he's doomed to be used.
Little Girls - Lana Del Rey
I mean... Not much needs to be said. CSA and grooming victim Armand. Also his turning age being 17 in the book, which I mix into my interpretation of Armand for this blog. He's a mix of book and show.
