Send me a ✘ for my muse's reaction to finding yours asleep on their couch.
Zitao had gotten back late from a work appointment, it left his body feeling lethargic from the rigorous exercise but his soul feeling energized from the feeding as well. As the man silently approached his door, he caught sight of the soft glow of light seeping underneath the crack of the door. Zitao furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, he had thought he turned off all the lights before leaving but apparently not. The man only sighed as he punched in his code, the familiar welcoming of the lock system echoing in the entrance hallway. He expected to hear the sound of Candy’s paws scrapping against the hardwood floor but heard nothing, it was quite odd. Zitao slipped off his shoes and hung his coat, clothed feet soundlessly padding against the floor as he entered his living room. He hadn’t noticed the lanky, tall figure draped across his couch until moments later. Ah, no wonder things were a bit off. Chanyeol had managed to fit himself into the couch that wasn’t long enough to accommodate the length of his body, leaving his feet to slip over the edge of the armrest and arm dangling on the floor. Zitao snickered to himself quietly from the comical scene, although his gaze softened as he trailed his eyes to Candy who had snuggled herself against Chanyeol’s chest into a small ball of snow. He didn’t want to disturb the moment. There was a ghost of a fond smile on the incubus’ lips from the look of peacefulness and content that decorated Chanyeol’s features. Zitao stood there for a few more moments before he turned off the lights and made his way to his bedroom to ready himself for bed. He’d wake up to Chanyeol bitching about staying up to wait for him and accidentally falling sleep on the couch (even if he knew his bed and the guest room’s bed was perfectly open), but no way in hell would he move Chanyeol on his own. No matter how fond Zitao felt.
