Lena was finally done with her job. The problem with that was now she was bored, extremely bored. With her rare free time she wandered aimlessly down the streets of Japan, waiting until something finally caught her attention.That something happened to be a dog. 

Lena wasn’t one to want to interact with strangers, but she’d just finished a particularly stressful job, and, if it meant she could pet a cute dog for a minute, she would make an exception. Approaching the stranger, she tried to look as friendly as possible. 

“Ah excuse me,” she said meekly “Would you mind if I pet your dog?”

Lena rounded the corner at full sprint, desperately running after a target who’d given her the slip. In a lucky break, she saw a person walking down the street a little ways ahead and decided to stop and ask if they’d seen who she was looking for. Coming to a halt in front of them, she bent over to take in a few deep breaths before she was able to speak to the stranger properly. 

For the past few days Lena has been doing what she spends a majority of her life doing, watching. She had been hired to take out “a dangerous target of unspecified origins”, but, unfortunately for her, they didn’t seem very dangerous. That left her with a moral dilemma.

The huntress didn’t like taking out people she did not personally see do any harm or did not know for a fact that they had done harm, and she knew next to nothing about this seemingly normal target. She decided to approach them and try to get them to either explain themselves or attack to see if they did have these so called “dangerous powers”. Lena made the last call on whether someone lived or died, not who hired her. She’d been contracted by jilted people to take out someone they didn’t like before; she knew better than to act rashly.

Waiting until they were alone she went up the person, hoping to end this peacefully.

Aurora was out not minding her business as per usual. It wasn’t her fault that she was trying to learn everything and get to know everyone with a limited amount of time. Ok, maybe it is her fault but that’s besides the point. 

Currently, she was figuring out how to approach a boy she saw in the store. He had the most stunning freckles, and she just had to tell him. Aurora could’ve sworn she recognized him from somewhere too, but she couldn’t quite put her finger on where. She didn’t think she’d forget someone that looked like that, but then again her memory wasn’t the greatest. After a moment of thinking, she just decided to suck it up and approach him. What’s the worst that could happen?

The souls of various humans and animals swirled around Aurora as she ambled down the street looking for something interesting to do. They used to be overwhelming, but she’d gotten accustomed to their presence by now. She continued walking on until something decidedly not human, at least not fully, came close enough for her to sense them. Aurora’s eyes lit up in excitement, finally something new to do! She was going to meet another magical being. 

Tracking them down after a minute she approached a lanky and tired looking boy. His soul was.. unique to say the least, but he didn’t look as exceptional as his soul did she thought to herself. 

“Pssst, hey.” she waved the man down, and motioned for him to come over to her “You’re different, you’re kind of like me but also kind of human? How fun!" she beamed at the stranger.
