being queen was weird enough on its own--dealing with a queendom that didnât need, want, or like her, learning all the courts, being shoved aside in place of the rules theyâve made in royaltyâs absence. it feels like they donât want to give her any responsibilities.
honestly, anybody like nothing trying to be around her keeps her feelings functional and like she can DO something.
she doesnât mind it as much as people think. she really doesnât.

But all Chara can manage in response is âIâm sorry.â
And their mother remembers the way they would curl tight at a loud noise and apologize in earnest, and she thinks, she should be the one to apologize.
