Looking For a Sound Opp:
Will Amato of RepRadio is looking for someone to run sound on Friday April 25th. This is a paid gig, details are listed in the post Here: Sound opp, We are looking for a Sound Board Op for our live event, the 4th Annual Shakespeare's Birthday Sonnet Slam held on Friday, April 25. We rent 2 mics / stands (one for tall and one for shorter people) and battery op speakers through ProSound and then we record the event through my ZOOM H4N. I need an operator / live sound mixer from 1pm until 4:30pm that day at the Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park. It would be useful if the Op could meet the Co-Producer (who has a car) at ProSound that morning for the pickup and to check the gear at 11:15am The pay is $150. cash and we buy lunch & beverages. I know it's not much $ but we get the funding from our Readers through Kickstarter and it's a shoestring budget. The event runs 3 hours continually. We will have 154 Readers, each reading one sonnet. They are all ages and heights and hopefully will go to the mic that fits their height. So, the Op will have to adjust levels because some people will speak softer / louder than others. Here's a clip of Michael Urie from last year: https://vimeo.com/album/2398731/video/66768859 Please let me know if you are interested in joining our crew this year and since we are in a time crunch, do REPLY either way.
