it was a restaurant you frequently visited on date nights, the staff preparing your table like clock-work. it wasnt until the menus began to slip in his sweating palms that yoonoh began to realize how much he’s over mined his knowledge. he just can’t remember what you loved to order despite hearing your praises towards the oh so delicious plate.

“yoon.. are you sure you don’t want me to order? you seem a bit pale”

your hand reached to feel around his forehead for a fever, his furrowed eyebrows brushing against your fingertips. a sheer layer of tears, almost bubbling over his eyelid. you frowned.

“okay okay! i’m sorry” you giggled “if i tell you the order will you promise to remember it, i don’t think i can handle seeing you so stressed out again”

“how long are we going to sit here” haechan whines, squirming around the passenger seat of your white sedan. his fluffy black hair pressed hard against the head rest.

“hyuck, i’m just too nervous. i don’t think i can face it. or them even!”

his eyes softened. a look of pity swirled with sympathy, he knows how difficult it can be to meet new people. especially for you— who struggles with introductions to strangers and distant relatives.

when you had kindly asked (begged) haechan to accompany you to visit some family he blindly agreed. and to be truthful he hadn’t been keenly listening either but he kept that to himself.

it hadn’t hit him why you had been acting so fidgety and anxious the days leading up to today. it wasn’t like your family wasn’t fond of haechan; it was quite the opposite actually, so why get all worked up now?

— jeong jaehyun would take you to ikea. i know it sounds idiotic, but the ikea food is delicious and shopping for cute furniture is fun. he’d pay for your choices and maybe even help you decorate afterward. jaehyun is the kind of guy who’d just go with the flow, so whatever happens just sort of happens. jaehyun loml!

— kim jungwoo would take you to one of those wine festivals: and no. they don’t just serve wine. there’s a wide assortment of foods and cheeses that pair beautifully with the alcohol. you’d spend all day there and eat til’ your stomachs are full.

— lee mark would take you to a concert ( justin 😍😍 ) i see him as the kind of guy who’d bond over people who share a passion in music. so be prepared to have concert dates often.

— lee haechan would take you night sightseeing, the kind of guy to lead you around the city, showing you cool restaurants and fun places ( especially if you weren’t native to korea or seoul in general ) a perfect date idea.

dark blue rays fluttered through the sheer curtains. you should’ve closed them last night, but with the sleepy mark begging you to cuddle him and the longing to rest your head over-took future decisions.

mark’s arm still lay across your waist, atop the cream coloured comforter. his nose wedged in the back of your neck. your eyes weighed open, the fuzziness of sleep still evident in your sight. finally, you spoke “mark…we overslept”

except mark didn’t even stir, his grip still evident. “we can’t lay in bed forever, you’ll be late for practice” you turned over, facing the sleeping boy.

this time mark began to lightly mumble, if you had let out a breath you’d miss it. “i don’t care if i’m a little late. stay here with me” you knew this was a bad idea. sleep would eventually over-take you both, and mark would actually be late.

yet you still lay, letting the cozy atmosphere engulf you both. next time, you’d invest in an alarm clock.
