Renot. Dança das baianas. Baianas dance, 1990.
Рено. Танец баиянок, 1990.
A few stray details from my Reno timeline.
I found Yazoo’s gun in the wreckage after he died. I kept it.
Before I joined the Turks and transitioned, I usually wore skimpy clothes and red lipstick. It made me uncomfortable, but people thought I was hot, and I could use that to my advantage.
I was rarely allowed to drive a company car, because Tseng said I was too reckless of a driver.
My favorite drink was scotch.
I didn’t know how to tie a tie. If I had to look nice for some event, someone else would have to tie it for me.
Rude and I liked to play pranks on our coworkers. I was the only one who ever got caught.
I was chilling in a bar or a restaurant with some of the newbies and I started flirting with Knife. I stuck out my tongue at her, and she pulled out a knife and said "Put that away before I pierce it for you." And I said, "Hey, that's a good idea!" And that's the story of how I spontaneously decided to get my tongue pierced in a shady Midgar piercing parlor.
The Turks used to call me and Rude "the R team" sometimes. "We'll get the R team on this one."

The Turks were different from other Shinra groups. We weren’t recruited as youngsters and trained for battle. We could join at any age, you just needed to be the right type of person. During the first year, maybe longer, and new Turk would be referred to only as their weapon, because that’s what we were. Weapons, swift and efficient and deadly, and made to take orders. We did whatever we’d have to. We’d steal, we’d hack, we’d kidnap, we’d bribe, intimidate, interrogate, assassinate, anything that was asked of us. We were professionals and we would not bat an eye at any order. We weren’t like SOLDIERS, or even normal infantrymen. We weren’t meant to blindly give our lives for the company. We were specialists.
Fun fact, my EMR was the strongest weapon in all of FFVII. It served me well against multiple legendary weapons, including the Buster sword itself. Never broke, not once.
I used to use really broken/inaccurate Spanish in conversation, I don’t really remember why? It annoyed some people. Like if I was interrogating someone and I was threatening them, I might count down in Spanish (Ex. “I’m gonna count to three and if you don’t tell me where he is I’m gonna start breaking fingers... Uno...”). I never got the accent right.
