Ah, my dear, I'm sorry if it seems I've gone silent. I'm still here; in fact, I spent a good portion of Saturday struggling to fill a prompt. Though it's far from my finest work, am glad that I was able to complete it (even though it was met by the empty sound of crickets chirpping - *shrugs* par for my course, I suppose) in the face of my writer's block..
Tumblr is being tricky again; I only just saw your Wednesday reply to my Ask a few hours ago (absolutely thrilled you enjoyed my Stephen x Hope bits; I took extra satisfaction in making her an Artist, keeping in mind several Artists on tumblr that I have gotten to know over the years). And I haven't yet received anything about Stephen's butterflies. Why, I had been thinking that you had gone quiet because I overdid it with the snippets π--or that real life stuff was commandeering your time and focus. So that I am doubly glad to find you in my Inbox again. Communiation may challenge us at times, but I trust we'll find our way, with patience & persistent.
It just hit 3:30am, so it's back to bed for me as my eyes are bleary and my lids are heavy. Wishing you all the best and sending along my love.
Oh no my dear flower, I could never grow tired of seeing your works!
I loved reading every single one of them and in fact, they were what inspired me to pick up my pen and get back on drawing once more! I did have a rough patch for a couple of days in a row, but I was blessed with an act of friendship that snapped me out of it. I am now back on my horse, and she seems to be cooperating for the time being. Rather than putting reigns on her, I have chosen to let her take control of where we go and how fast we get there.
I am very disappointed that you didn't get the message I sent you about Stephen, however, as it was meant to lift your spirit after I saw your message about letting go of a friend. Let me see if I can perhaps recreate at least part of it for you:
"As we go through life, we cherish the bonds we form with people, and we treasure them as they continue to grow. But as with everything in life, we find out that eventually, everything must come to an end. We cannot predict when these endings will come, nor how truly hard they will affect us.
But rather than be absorbed in the darkness, look for the beauty in the endings. If you have had one door closed to you, then that means you have done all you can in this chapter of your life. As Stephen has, do not let the darkness consume you, and instead make something beautiful out of it. Though this friendship has ended, and though it may hurt, that means you are needed somewhere else.
Now, gather the happy memories to give you strength and spread your wings to fly, beautiful one, to where you are needed next."
I assure you, no matter how hard Tumblr tries to keep us apart, I will never stop trying to reach out to you, dear flower. I hope the night has found you well, and at peace. I look forward to the next time we speak, no matter when it is or how brief it may be.
