Regency Fireside - A Reshade Preset!

I decided to refine the Reshade preset I created for Alone Together and of course share it now that I know how.

This has been created particularly for interior scenes that are dark and require a warm, saturated look - I wanted to try to replicate fire light with a little creative licence thrown in for a romantic look.  It can work for exteriors, however you might need to tweak it.  The landscape example was taking in Windenberg in the morning light.  None of the images have been messed with in Photoshop.

Specs

Reshade version: 4.9.1  Shaders recommended: AshtrayFX, OtisFX, PD80 and qUINT.

As with any preset that uses depth shaders, you will need to ensure that edge smoothing is turned off in game.

Depending on the look you like, you can use ADOF or CinematicDOF if you would like better control where your depth of field lies.

A play on a hashtag written by @simandy, who was lamenting the fact that she couldn’t find lipstick to suit her olive skin.  It inspired me to delve deep into my colour theory background and make a palette that did compliment olive skin.  I concentrated on warm and cool orange, corals, violets and taupe tones. I literally turned my model all shades of olive that I could to see if they would work and I brought it down to these 15 swatches.  

Of course, the aim was to make these work particularly on olive tones BUT I made sure that they would all work on pretty much every skin you could throw them on. Of course a few of these colours will be super bright on super dark skin but if you’re wanting to make a stylistic, editorial sim, it still works.

I have loved this top from the Island Living pack for so long.  Pretty much all of my game sims have it somewhere in their wardrobe.  I came across some gorgeous patterns and knew they would look great.  Just to round out the collection I’ve got some solids pulled from those patterns.

(I haven’t got the patience to play in Blender and create my own meshes, so recolours are going to be my thing.)

Drawn from fashion plates and official colours from the 70′s, I created this for @curmudgeoned-lab who has already used it.

For the emo sims. Or the partied-too-hard sims. Or the regretful sims. Or the “coyote ugly” sims... Hand-drawn smudgy goodness in any colour you like, so long as it’s black!

I’ve been wanting a subtle-ish, not-so-facepainty set of smudged eyeliners and I was happy to have figured this out for myself. :)  Since I hit the 200 follower mark, I thought I’d share it.   Details:

5 different swatches (different looks), all black.

Works for males but the thumbs won’t show.

Available in Facepaint and Eyeliner versions so you can stack them for extra bleakness or put them over your favourite eye CC.
