Went to the library today. I love it so much, it's so cosy and the lights are just amazing... It's an old building, renessance if I recall well and it's really beautiful. I read the Sarah Waters book but I still couldn't finish it. I'm a little ashamed because I used to love reading. I read a book by one night if it was interesting enough... I'm trying to get back on track with that.

So I mentioned earlier Michaelangelo hated painting, he considered himself a sculptor and that it was the highest form of art. Unfortunately for him, his sworn enemy and friend of pope Julius II, Donato Bramante allegendly told ol' Jules that he would be perfect to paint the Sistine Chapel ceiling. The huge project only took him, oh, about four years. The artists inserted a few images of himself in the piece, and all happen to be in scenes where people were being flayed and tortured. Above we see his painted face, superposed onto the flayed skin of Saint Bartholomew in the last judgment panel.
