[[ I 99.9% agree with this, with the sole exception of “worst Superman interpretation on film.” I think that honour still goes to Superman IV. Otherwise, though, spot on. ]]
At least Superman IV Superman didn't senselessly level a city without caring if anyone died in the crossfire. this movie just frustrates me.
TIMELINE UPDATE, CODE NAME: HUNTRESS
Feeling as though she had become far too complacent with her monotonous life, and as if she was no longer as effective in fighting the Underworld as Huntress. Helena Bertinelli hung up the cowl and for several months, she disappeared altogether.
Having a sort of crisis of faith as well as crisis of identity, Helena took to travelling the world, retraining herself and her mind. She sought out the best teachers she could find and spent weeks with each of them, cleansing her body, her spirirt and igniting the fire in her soul.
She worked as hard as she could to break down the old Helena so she could rise again, stronger for it, and this meant enduring hardships, both physical and emotional. No longer Huntress, her friends back in Gotham were left to wonder where she had gone and why she had left behind anything that could of helped her out in the big, bad world.
Returning to Gotham the same way she had left, without a word, Helena has to yet to reclaim the title of Huntress. She knows she is capable but something makes her hold back, as if it is not yet the right time for her to done the suit. Once a teacher, Helena instead acquires a job through some contacts at the museum of natural history in Gotham upon her return.
Not ready to explain why she left or why she is no longer answering to Huntress, she is attempting to live a civilian life, a normal life - but we all know that can't last and she is bound to get sucked back in. For now, though, she is just Helena Bertinelli, assistant curator, a law abiding citizen with her own demons that she isn't ready to face down yet,

"… most people call it ‘changing.’ It’s usually accompanied by a modest expectation of PRIVACY."
"But this is my house?!" Quickly, she spun about anyhow, turning away from the woman.
