I learned today that the amazingly talented stylist, Renate Lindlar, passed away after a long battle with cancer. She created this one-of-a-kind dress which I photographed during a Rodney Smith workshop in 2011. Renate had worked with Rodney for years and they seemed to complement each others' artistic sensibilities. Renate had impeccable taste, wit, and charm. Even after all their years of working together, I remember Rodney was overwhelmed when his model came on set wearing this spectacular light blue dress with his assistants holding a 20-foot train. Renate, you will be missed. And while you were here, you made the world a little more beautiful. #renatelindlar #rodneysmith #sosad #rip
