GOLEM
Animated anthropomorphic being that is created entirely from inanimate materials, usually clay or mud, but there could also be made out of metal.
It is brought to life by ritual incantations and thr use of Hebrew letters. The golem, brought into being by a human creator, becomes a helper, a companion, or, in the original lore, a rescuer of an imperiled Jewish community.
In other words goles are usually seen as benign creatures, however some legends also denote that the Golem creators could eventually lose their control over their creation.
This beings are very strong and difficult to defeat, and the most efficient way to vanquish it is by erasing the words used to give it life.
The use of blood as material to its creation was something I added to the lore. There isn't any concrete evidence that blood was used in Golem creation, but the use of blood as source of power in other folk magic methods was a common motif.
Why does anyone even use blood? Isn't that antihygenic?
We use blood in potions, too. I don't see you complaining?
Just because I don't say it, it doesn't mean I don't complain. Severus you meanie. Don't shamble up with Remus's notes.
Look who's talking.
