Hi JWB i hope you are well, although I have many questions about ipkknd I want to discuss but it's the first time for me to sent a question to an analyst because I really like your analysis and I am curious to know your opinion. and i will begin with a question you already have analyzed but I have more questions about it and this question is arnav pov about Khushi in the beginning. I'll be very thankful if you answered all this 😅
First why did he hold her closer to him when she fell in his arms and why he throw her very strong angrily, is it was because she annoyed and let go of his jacket collar?
I want to know what arnav think about her when she cover her back by her hair? did he know that he crossed the line that's why he let her go after that?
What did he mean by saying that falling is from her nature ?
Why did he unbutton his jacket and come closer to her in threatening way , wasn't it kinda lack of appreciation for Lavanya ? And why when she was afraid and about to fall he catch her angrily?
In fact I want to ask what he was thinking about her repeated fall specially in shantivan training didn't he think she is acting?
Did he judge her when she got the measurements of the men and think she could touch men easily for money ?
When he start to understand her boundaries? Is it was when she refused his touch in teej?
Hi Anon,
I'm glad you like my analysis! I often try ':) But honestly most of it is me just yelling at a corner of the internet on what I think about the show (trust me, I'm very sure that at times I'm thinking contradictory to what the makers had in mind, lol).
First why did he hold her closer to him when she fell in his arms and why he throw her very strong angrily, is it was because she annoyed and let go of his jacket collar?
A random woman just ruined his show. The last thing he's going to be is be polite. Khushi didn't let go of his jacket out of annoyance - she's scared, this is a stranger, it is improper to hold a man so closely.
For Arnav, he's pissed. For Khushi, everything's inappropriate.
Which pretty much summarizes their dynamic for the longest time.
I want to know what arnav think about her when she cover her back by her hair? did he know that he crossed the line that's why he let her go after that?
He honestly didn't take much note of it. He wanted to humiliate her - a direct result of what she told him (about his Di, unaware that the exact circumstances have happened with his sister - but anyway, Arnav was entirely at fault).
I think a part of him is still reeling from recollecting his past. Khushi is... irrelevant.
What did he mean by saying that falling is from her nature ?
Arnav says this quite a few times - his first impression of Khushi doing anything for attention (essentially stooping to any level for attention) is an impression that doesn't leave him for the longest time.
And it's almost always proven. She appears to be stalking him. Makes a public scene whenever she's with him. Can easily fake tears, etc etc.
Why did he unbutton his jacket and come closer to her in threatening way , wasn't it kinda lack of appreciation for Lavanya ? And why when she was afraid and about to fall he catch her angrily?
It has nothing to do with Lavanya - he was intimidating Khushi (and us). I think catching her is a reflex, and I think at this time he's also examining who Khushi is. I also think he's almost always half frustrated that he does save/catch her.
In fact I want to ask what he was thinking about her repeated fall specially in shantivan training didn't he think she is acting?
In office he thought she's acting. A few days after Shantivan it's evident that she's just clumsy and keeps falling.
Did he judge her when she got the measurements of the men and think she could touch men easily for money ?
Taking somebody's measurements is really not 'touching' them. I think Arnav knew that just being from a small town she wouldn't be able to shrug off her narrow mindedness and have the guts to get things done. Her orthodox 'morality' wouldn't let her do it.
Of course he is not taking into account that it is intimidating for any woman to be in a room full of men.
I think it annoyed Arnav that Khushi is actually street smart (when she wants to be).
When he start to understand her boundaries? Is it was when she refused his touch in teej?
Honestly he completely understood during their consummation night when he hesitated kissing her because of her discomfort. Quite late... heh.
Best,
JWB
