OHH OKAY follow up question now, what art pieces does Remy associate with you? And do you have any that you associate with him?
HI omg im sobbing over this question... this one was a bit hard to answer and it's probably all over the place but!!! if u have an answer to this (especially since you brought up going to art museums with him) i would loveeee to know omgomgmmgmgm.
Remy's art association with me:
β¦ Ok so while it's less of 'art' in people's traditional sense of paintings and sketches, he heavily associates me with the cathedrals of Gothic era art, especially German and French influenced. Cathedrals like Notre-Dame and Cologne Cathedral are big ones. While I'm not a religious/spiritual person by any means (though i was raised as one), its less the religious aspect of the buildings/Gothic era and more the actual architecture of them, if that makes sense? It's more of the symmetry in the building styles, as well as the dramatics in the stain glass features and their architectural designs.
My art association with Remy:
β¦ He speaks heavily of Baroque era to me. The direct ties to Catholic belief (which I believe Remy still holds dearly to him, especially after growing up in New Orleans + suffering FROM Catholic guilt due to his past actions). Also, the chiaroscuro in the pieces speaks heavily of Rem to me. Light-dark contrast is exactly what his character is: self judgement and regret wrapped in a flirty and charismatic shell. The piece he most reminds me of is the sculpture Ecstasy of Saint Teresa due to the controversy of the art itself being seen as 'sensual' due to her facial expressions during the act of her heart about to be pierced, as well as the fact it depicts her divine passion towards her religion (which correlates to Remy through his devotion to his roots in New Orleans, both religious and not religious.
