A Brief, Biased, and Mildly Disrespectful Rundown of the Hell Bidders
Order & Chaos
Show up like philosophy undergrads who just discovered Kant and Nietzsche and want to “spice up” your party. One with a cardboard box, the other with a balloon. Both somehow make less sense than Delirium on any given Tuesday.
The Norse Gods
Odin: “I’m very wise and mysterious and definitely not desperate.”
Loki: “I’m already plotting three betrayals and a musical number.”
Thor: “Do you even lift, bro?” (but with worse manners)
Susanoo-no-Mikoto
Radiates quiet strength. Has main character energy actually. Honestly a king for being the true philosopher in the room (not the undergrad).
The Demons
Want to gaslight, gatekeep, and girlboss their way back into Hell. Azazel is the cautionary tale in overconfidence and therefore gets the time-out bottle. Oops…
The Angels
Duma: says nothing, radiates dread.
Remiel: talks too much, crumbles into existential horror by the end.
Together: the embodiment of “This Is Fine”, but with wings.
The Fae
Cluracan: Here on royal orders but treats the whole event like a pub crawl with slightly higher stakes. Also: Every good night out has to end with sex...
Nuala: pure, polite, deeply uncomfortable and crushing on the host.
Together: “We brought diplomacy and vibes.”
Bonus: Bast (because they cheated us!)
Mainly purrs suggestively. Tries to seduce Dream but honestly just might have wanted a nap in the throne room. Would rule Hell purely for the open fires she’d like to lounge in front of.
Dream
Technically not a bidder, but still the most terrifying person in the room. Says maybe four sentences, stares people into submission, and leaves everyone emotionally destabilised. Also: Provides snacks and entertainment, and that’s the most important thing. For me anyway…
First off this is just my opinion, second off spoilers for some. Oh I'm probably also gonna make a post about birth sign headcanons for vanilla followers or spouses (I know the spouses by heart but not the followers I'm sorry).
Also I should say, I wouldn't like the follower any less because of their sign, you could give any of these followers any birth sign and I would love them no less and I would still probably rant about how I love that sign with that character. Your sign shouldn't make you any less loved. I just love little traits creators give to their character, the traits that seem unimportant always make me happy. I love the fact that Sa'chil's fur is dyed by berries and I love that Nebarra was known to pull pranks on someone in the past.
Other than that I really wish I had Eris, Sa'chil's, and Remiel's signs bro 😭. I wanna theorize but I feel like that's rude in case I'm wrong.
Khash: Second Seed, Shadow Sign
I found out about her sign from a post connecting her birth to Shadowscales. I'm not super educated on her character, and that's mainly because I forgot a lot of the lore I learned about her. But I love the fact that some people love to theorize or talk about the followers signs. I know from lore that an Argonian being born under the sign of the Shadow is a very big deal, considering the history of Shadowscales. Id love to see if that will ever be mentioned with Khashs character, unless it already has. Those born under the shadow sign are cold, cautious, and patient. Honestly, I don't think that matches Khash, and I love that. Khash isn't part of the Hist, and she doesn't let her sign control her character, she breaks from the norm and I love that.
Val Serano: Midyear, Steed Sign
I don't know anything about Val Serano sadly. I've only seen a few videos. But from what I have seen, him being the Steed sign does seem really really cool. The Steed is headstrong, willful, and swift. He is swift, I feel like you have to be when you have a history of being a pirate. He does seem stubborn and headstrong considering his banter with Remiel and his daedra quest you get at the college. Sorry if I don't have much to say, I don't wanna spoil myself by watching all of his quests. I really do love his character, and I have him downloaded so I will be getting to know him.
Xelzaz: ???, Serpent Sign
Oooo look at this guy! He's so mysterious and refined, it's only natural that his sign would be the very rarely occurring one, the Serpent (I'm joking I love Xelzaz). I feel like it matches. Xelzaz's character constantly challenges the norm. He's an Argonian who's rising up within the ranks of a House that views him as a lesser being, hes one of the few followers that goes against you when you choose the morally evil side but he himself lacks common sentimentality and empathy on a plethora of subjects (Redcap, necromancy, grave robbing). He's egotistical but kind and sensitive to close relationships. Him having a rare sign that he denies being affected by is a really amazing trait among his character, most would be haunted by their sign, he disregards it and gets offended when you try to force him under that category. Everything about Xelzaz almost seems otherworldly in Skyrim. I do think he harbors one of the traits mentioned in the post I saw, which is self-destructive. Not overly so, but his ego and strong curiosity does give off the idea of something bad waiting to happen. Xelzaz should be getting a huge update soon, and I wonder if this trait will be seen.
Nebarra: Frostfall, Tower Sign (could be wrong but I'm positive this is it, I saw a screenshot of the creator saying it and there should be dialogue that was mentioned to be in the works, though things are set to change)
Now inside the Nebarra Discord I headcanoned that Nebarra was under the Steed sign, he's headstrong, painfully willful, and swift in combat. He gave off summer child (because he was an Altmer that's an issue on my part), and because of Swayback I thought the 'Steed' made sense (he's also a horse girl). But it was proven that he's the Tower, and honestly I could not think of a better sign. I was really one-upped in the representation board, because Tower seems so forgotten but it's so obvious that Nebarra would harbor these traits. Wanna know how I know? Because the traits said to be associated were strong and durable. Yep 👍 that's it. He's endured so much, he's relied on his very superior strength, and the winter child aspect gives him a feeling of melancholy, the season of slumber and death.
Inigo: Suns dawn, Lover??? (It said that on a Tumblr post I mentioned in my last message)
I really don't know if this is his sign. I just saw it somewhere. If that's not his sign, I think the Warrior could be it (since he was released in August). I think the Lover does match, he's charming, very beloved by the Skyrim follower mod fandom, super strong so therefore easily feared. He's a lover of beautiful women, surely that must mean his birth sign is the Lover. Given the chance that his birthday is his release date I do think the Warrior fits. He is straightforward (it's just not seen as rude because he has a naturally positive mindset), I'm not good at understanding willful as a trait, but given the fact Inigo agreed to Dupans request and the Dragonborn telling Inigo to join him, I can't tell if that makes him willful or not. When he threatens Langley for insulting us, or when he's in battle he does seem pretty wrathful on occasion.
Lucien Flavius: Hearthfire, Lady
This little guy and me share the same birth month :). I think Lucien's birthday is based off his release date, but that doesn't mean I don't think the Lady doesn't match him, because it does. He's elegant, foresightful, soft, and patient. I could not see Lucien under any other sign, except maybe the atronach but lady still feels right. Nothing else more to say I'm afraid, sorry this is short I do really love Lucien Flavius.
Kaidan: First Seed, Lord ??
Thanks to the comment enlightening me about Kaidan most likely being born within the First Seed of very early Rains Hand. I think the Lord matches him by a lot. He's calculating, reserved, and strong. When I first heard about the Lord sign, and didn't read about personalities, I always got the feel that those under the Lord sign had a very regal, commanding, and serious aesthetic. Which Kaidan does give off. Also Kaidan dresses like how'd I envision a Lord sign to be dressed, very intricate and dramatic armor plus red piercing eyes that intimidate others around him. Also like that him and Willow are like two sides of the same coin. Both are completely different but both match the Lord sign in different ways.
Taliesin: Suns Dawn, Lover
Completely matches. I like followers whose signs contrast with their character AND I love followers who resemble a lot of their signs traits. Xelzaz.does joke that people who are born under this sign often love up to that namesake... Can I make the little piper joke 👀? No..? My bad. I don't remember much about Taliesin, I need to add him to my pc but he was on my Xbox. I do think he's very passionate and charming (he was definitely beloved, piper- okay I'll stop what the heck). It also says people under the lover sign were feared. I love how that can be applied to Taliesin's background as a Thalmor, in an angst way. Sorry if the piper joke is rude let me know, since he mentions it in the game I thought it was light hearted.
Willow: First Seed, Lord
Honestly wasn't expecting this to be his sign, but it honestly really fits. It's the start of Spring, in Jel it would Sisei be translated to Sprout. It gives off that newly bloom, and that's basically how Willow is. He's new to adventure, he's a breath of fresh air, a new idea to Skyrim followers where he's probably the most positive follower there is. And to me it's kind of like a circle, the most popular mods I was introduced to were Inigo and Lucien, very positive individuals. One with a sad backstory that he doesn't let affect him and he's trying to fix his mistakes, and one who came from a very privileged and safe background. Now one of the newest mods I was introduced to also gives off that very positive vibe (I did notice some angst lines that I don't know if they'll be relevant to future updates). Also it says those under the Lord sign are: proud, ambitious, strong, reserved, and calculating. Honestly Willow does match basically all those traits, it takes strength to stay positive. He's proud and ambitious, and those don't have to be negative traits, so doesn't let things dim his shine. I do think he's a little reserved at the moment (when he mentioned to me that he was a little green he didn't elaborate, that's reserving information).
Gore: April's Hand, The Mage
I love the fact that from a distant glance, his sign doesn't really have any hold on his character at all. Gore was a mercenary, without telling him how to fight he uses a huge two-handed sword, and gets all close and personal. You could barely compare him to a mage (of course from first glance, I haven't asked him to invoke powerful spells or tried the college of Winterhold yet so I could be wrong and he could be good at spells). But those born under the mage sign are fortunate and adventurous, I think those can be applied to him within the setting of Skyrim, I think he's very fortunate to have someone save him from that bear trap and basically become more of a family member than the Ravens ever could be (also meeting other followers like Remiel). And I think he likes adventure. I like the contrast between him and his respective sign. Also in Earth terms he does seem like an April, even an Aries or Taurus, child to me, it makes perfect sense. Also he'll never know that he's The Mage, just a little fact id thought I'd share.
Auri: Thief or Steed (Wasn't decided I think but if you look in @sotgofficial's asks it's there)
Honestly I prefer the idea of her being born in the Evening Star, with the Thief sign. I saw a post depicting people born under that sign to be "swift, cunning, beautiful, daring, and lucky", and I feel like that really matches her. However the Steed also matches her as well, I can see her being a summer child, she's willful and headstrong. Shes strict and stubborn about her beliefs with the Green Pact, and she doesn't let things hold her back personality wise since no one can control her or hold her down, but I slightly prefer the Thief (of course if the creator ever posts otherwise I'd love their opinion regardless because any trait or thought someone puts their creation/art/character is always beautiful to me). Auri is very playful but stern in her beliefs, and she doesn't let anyone hold her down or control her.
Malryn: The Thief
I love it! I think it matches her a lot. She likes the fact it gives her stealth and honestly Evening Star does sound like a month she'd be born under, it gives a nice aesthetic. I don't really know what else to relate to her character. Spoiler wise, I feel like her being under the Thief sign might've contributed to her backstory, thieves aren't soldiers. She is lucky and daring in my opinion, and very beautiful (I'm sorry I love women), so she harbors traits usually seen with people born under the sign of the Thief.
Nayir: The Mage
I will admit it I don't know much about Nayir, I just have him on my list for amazing CVFs because I love learning about people's Skyrim characters. But that doesn't mean his birth sign isn't bad, I love Rain's Hand, and I love people with a big glorious chest. I don't know if magic will be a part of Nayir's character when he's released but that doesn't mean Nayir can't represent The Mage since they are usually defined as fortunate and adventurous.
Headcanons: These are for my favorite followers that I either couldn't find information on their signs or their signs were never mentioned (not including followers whose history is hidden and therefore the chances of knowing their birth sign is really low, looking at you Lucifer 😭)
Sa'chil: I could see her being The Serpent, Atronach, the Lover, or Thief. She seems more like a winter child, and a sign that would be under the Thief (Lover, Shadow, and Tower). The atronach is known to have the traits: Adaptable, steady, sturdy, and smart. Which Sa'chil has a lot of experience in traveling, stealing, etc. I can't pick one
Remiel: Honestly I headcanon that she's born under the Lady to be honest, though I could see it being the Thief, Steed, or Apprentice. Mainly the Apprentice though. I'm like right between Apprentice and Lady but Lady beats it.
Eris: Ritual. Deadset on this tbh. Idk why though 😭.
Caryalind: Ritual, Lady, or Lover. Feeling more of Hearthfire and Morning Star though
Secunda: Late Suns Dawn to First Seed. So Lover to Lord. I could see others like, the lady, serpent, ritual, shadow and the mage.
Redcap: I think she'd be born under the Ritual, Warrior, or Lady to be honest. Not much more to say. I definitely see her being under the Warrior signs, and Redcap stealing and being sneaky with Remiel doesn't change that in the slightest.
Also I feel like if Xelzaz wasnt the serpent he would've been the Ritual, Apprentice, or Atronach. Unless his birth month has already been said.
