"T-the heck!?" Sure, it didn't hurt, but there was nothing comfortable about suddenly having a hand shoved through his chest like that! Even if this was just a Dreamscape and had nothing to do with his actual body - that had to be some type of personal space invasion! That aside, it was a good question that had been asked. When was the last time he'd actually been outside? With everything that had been happening - he'd been too busy helping Gallagher and Misha to really take the time to pause and think about his own needs. "...I mean...I don't even know what I am...not like I can trust anything my father ever told me", he gave the slightest of shrugs, rubbing at his chest a little. Even if there had been no actual sensation, he still didn't like that that had happened at all, "And besides - no one else is here anymore...just what do I do now? Where do I even have to go?". Ratio & Aventurine
This is pretty plainly the strongest ship I have for Ratio, and I adore @apocryphis's Aventurine to bits. Their relationship is so complex and I can't help but love my 'opposites attract' trope aouhguhgghgh. one thing i'm hoping to do with ventium in the future is delve more into their individual insecurities and anxieties with this relationship because i love all the soft but there's more to it than that!! and they're frequent collaborators too!! that's another aspect i want to explore as well. there's so many angles you can take with them and i adore a versatile ship sm
Ratio & Reca
Fully blaming @daybreakrising for this one but there's something very interesting about the dichotomy between two equally eccentric and yet nearly opposite individuals, considered brilliant masters in their respective fields. Strangely, they have more in common than appearances would suggest, and that makes the dynamic even more interesting. And also I'm simple and very much enjoy Ratio getting annoyed by anyone
Mydeimos & Phainon
Another strong opposites pairing. They make me crazy. The devotion. The sacredness and mutual respect in which they regard each other. The absolutely insane nonsense they get up to. Their clumsy ways of expressing care. The way that they bring out the best and worst of each other. Clenches fist.
Mydeimos & Hephaestion
Dead wife I miss you... No but actually I really do wish that we had even just a little more knowledge of how deep their relationship went. We can infer from the real life references of Alexander the Great and Hephaestion respectively that they were plainly more than just friends, and the fact that Hephaestion was none other than Mydeimos' shield-bearer prior to his death really says a lot given the emphasis on shields throughout Kremnoan culture and history... just. ough. people don't think about how losing your first love as a young, inexperienced teenager really leaves the deepest wounds because you have nothing else to compare it to
