Exactly this! I've learned over the years that it's OK that not everyone likes you. Many of those people you don't want in your life anyway. I'm perfectly fine with not being everybody's cup of tea. I'd much rather be somebody's shot of whiskey anyway. For years I was a people pleaser at the expense of everything else, most of all myself. I couldn't be honest and say no because I didn't want to upset anyone. I learned that the only way to ensure that nobody is happy is to try and please everybody. In life, there are people who matter, and there's everybody else. Don't worry about everybody else.
