On this historic day as we remember the attack on Pearl Harbor seventy-six years ago, we wanted to share this photo of our Honolulu Power Plant painted in camouflage and reinforced with steel and concrete during that time. As Japanese war planes strafe the Waiau Power Plant at Pearl Harbor with machine gun fire, 13 workers stayed at their posts to safely shut down the plant in 1941. The plant's log book records, "The plant is under attack - secured everything."
75 years ago, Pearl Harbor was attacked by Japanese. Today, 75 years later we honor those who have served our great country🇺🇸
