I’ve seen a number of posts by fannibals about how people who ship Murder Family “must not have read/seen Red Dragon”. To be fair I haven’t seen or read anything else about Hannibal, but I do know who he is. I think most of us know who he is; Hannibal Lecter is one of the most iconic villains in literature.
That being said, I still ship hannigram. I love Murder Family, I think it’s fucking adorable as hell, and I think there’s nothing wrong with that. We have to take this interpretation as its own independent entity, because it so obviously is. Are you going to get upset at me for using female pronouns when I refer to Freddie Lounds? No. Because, in this iteration, she’s a woman. Obviously the relationship between Will and Hannibal could change (probably will). But, taking only the show that exists at this moment (which is all I can do), I ship those characters, and not shipping Abigail as their daughter directly contradicts canon.
This has been a rant, thank you very much for your time.
