We had just watched Olicity consummate their relationship in one of the most epic, romantic and hottest scenes ever, yet this still makes me squee like an idiot.
Oliver is in love with his girl and he doesn't care who knows it.
Him admitting it in front of John, Thea and Malcolm was just a thing of beauty.
Also, this is another instance that shows that Felicity is the only person who has always had his back. She was willing to drug him and try to escape from Ras Al Ghul with her man. And he loved her all the more for it. Le sigh.
To kill two birds with one stone !!

I've just binge watched 3x17, 3x18, and 3x19 of Arrow and I feel emotionally drained. I'm sure I didn't cry so much the first time around. It's just Deadshot, Roy, and Thea are either dead, fake dead, or nearly dead and it's a lot to take in right now. I was going to go straight into 3x20, but I need to be fully focused on that episode. For science.
Don't want to miss a single second of this one lol. Can't wait. Plus I have a million reviews to write up.
I've finished skim rewatching arrow/Olicity scenes from season 3 and I forgot what an angst fest it was lol. We've come so far. One thing that really stood out though for me upon this rewatch, was just how strong Oliver and Felicity's bond was and has always been. Despite all of the issues of season 3, they really are true friends. Best friends. In an AU world, Olicity's season 3 arc would be the best friends who are in love with each other but are too stubborn to admit it trope lol. And can we talk about the bromance between Oliver and Diggle? Them as brothers is truly cemented during this season. Also, for all the people who say that Olicity is the biggest problem for season 3 really need to do a rewatch. For me, one of the biggest problems, was that the writers were trying to turn the show into Game of Thrones. The way the writers handled the whole league of assassins storyline is just proof that they'd watched one too many episodes of GOT.
Also, I love John Barrowman but the whole convoluted storyline involving him drugging Thea to kill Sara, so that Oliver would kill Ras, just so he could clear his blood debt was just so ridiculous.
That for me is the core of what went wrong during season 3 and 4 of Arrow. They forgot what Arrow was supposed to be. Season 4 was them trying to follow in the flash' footsteps by making it lighter.
One thing I will say about season's 5 and 6 is that they rediscovered the root of the show and what it's about. Dark, gritty, street level. Green Arrow as the warrior for social justice. Season 5 got a lot wrong, but maybe it had to strip everything away to be able to find itself again. I'm definitely enjoying season 6 a lot more, I have to say. It's finding the balance between dark and gritty, and character moments that feel earned. It's not perfect. But we're going in the right direction. Also, season 3 really makes me miss Roy. I'm looking forward to his return and his reunion with Thea. Season 3 also serves as a reminder as to what Team Arrow is and can be when it's made up of people who genuinely care about each other. Family. Not a bunch of associates. My biggest hope is that this current team can become that. Family is the theme this year, after all.

Bringing this here just to cleanse everyone's minds and restore your faith. Rewatch and reblog as many times as you can. Spread the love. Olicity will rise again. ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
Holding onto hope.
What do these three moments have in common? Apart from being amazing, wonderful Olicity scenes that is? They came out of nowhere. Sure, with hindsight we can chart the path that led up to these moments, but I certainly didn't see Oliver’s declaration coming in 2x23. Back then I was living off scraps, not really thinking the show would go there, but hopeful. Then bam. I remember spending the summer obsessing over whether it was real, was it just a ruse? Then freaking out when they showed the kiss in the ad for 3x01. Let's take a moment to truly appreciate those days. Having rewatched the show several times, I can see them setting up the rise of Olicity pretty clearly. We all knew something was coming when Stephen told us to "remember 3x20", and boy do we remember that. 23 million views on YouTube remember 3x20. Then the trailer dropped and we all lost our minds. But logically it wasn't possible, right? Felicity was still with Ray. I reiterate "remember 3x20" whenever you worry about the logistics and pacing of Arrow. We have 10 episodes left this season. Things can change quickly. Remember 3x20.
The Captain better be trying to tell us something with this meme selection. Either way, the f*ck bois remain triggered. (X)
