Ben  wasn't  versed  in  helping  anyone,  really,  no  matter  how  much  he  tried.  Yet  there  was  something  about  Sarah  that  reminded  him  a  lot  of  himself.  He  knew  how  to  deal  with  this  though  he  hadn't  done  a  lot  of  practicing  with  what  he's  preaching  right  now.  ❝  Do  you  think  you  can  do  that?❞  He  was  crouched  down.  Holding  Sarah's  wrist,  she  was  around  the  same  age  his  sister  was  before  all  of  this.  

After everything that had happened, Arvo had only asked to tag along with the group to make sure the girl with his sisters eyes was safe. The other girl had similar traits too, but they weren't as striking as the first girl's eyes. Or, perhaps, they were too similar. Too striking, that he felt that he had to ignore her to stop thinking about his own recent loss.

One trait was enough of a reminder to make him want to make sure Clementine was safe, so if Sarah...He thinks that's her name, he had heard others call her that....If she had more traits that were like his sister, how would it effect him? Would he be able to go on, if he paid attention..?

He already had to shove his grief down, try to swallow it. His sister would want him to live, but she was so young....He'd failed her. He'd failed to get her medicine, failed to stop her from becoming one of those things....He couldn't even put down the walker with her face.

So, when he felt the young girl's hand tugging on his hoodie sleeve, he ignored it at first. Until he couldn't. The tugging so persistant, that he felt forced to look over.

When the original owners of the abandoned cabin came back to claim what was once theirs, Valin didn’t raise too much of a protest about it, for once in her life. Unlike them this place was nothing more than a temporary means to an end for her. A place to go to escape the brutality of winter that had already lost its novelty a long time ago.

They should consider themselves lucky, even, she didn’t swing at them when they came barging in, or else her axe would have went straight into the old man’s neck.

While her ever wandering spirit was ready to get back on the road and put this place behind her, the lone woman’s supplies were in shambles and the lines of meat she had strung up in the kitchen to dry still had a long ways to go before it’d be ready to take with her. She couldn’t trust these people not to take it all as soon as she turned away, or herself to no longer be bothered to come back for it if she did manage to wander too far away for it to be a hassle to come back one day...

A deal was struck between them instead. Since she had no desire to stay in the same space as two children, or even worse a baby, Val would move into the tool shed for now. It let her stay close enough to be more comfortable and keep an eye on her things while they got their house mostly back to themselves. She’d already boarded up the hole in the wall and didn’t have a problem with the little amount of space, so it seemed like the best arrangement for everyone.

Weeks had gone by since then, she didn’t know exactly how many, not that she had ever bothered to keep track in the first place. Rather than disappear out into the woods like she usually did, the mute had chosen to sit on the porch railing today. Both hands palm down and fingers curled around to keep her steady while her long legs dangled down towards the ground. From the dark and dreary look in the sky a storm was going to be coming their way, she wanted to see its eventual appearance for herself.

   he was running low on food. he had a can of preserved peaches, some candy bars that he’d managed to grab out of a mostly empty supermarket, and that was about it. when he spotted the trailer park, he wondered if there was anything left inside at this point, but he figured it didn’t hurt to check. it was the first likely place for scavenging he’d found in a while.

   when he carefully stepped in, he noticed the place was a little overrun with walkers. nothing he couldn’t take care of, but it gave him hope that perhaps it was still untouched. he swung his bat at the first one, spikes impaling its head. he had to pull hard to get it back out, but continued on killing the rest. he whistled loudly to check if any more were in the area, but it had become silent.

   he twirled his bat to get some of the blood to spray off onto the ground. he’d clean it properly later. he checked around the trailers, and found a couple useful items like duct tape, some canned food and even a jar of preserved pickles, rope, rubbing alcohol... eventually he came to a trailer he couldn’t open. it wasn’t locked, but it was like it was barricaded. he furrowed his brows and listened closely to the door, wondering if someone was in there.

   jiwoon narrowed his eyes and gave the door three good kicks and it opened up, pushing whatever was blocking it out of the way. he held up his bat, but all he found was a frightened child. he peeked inside and saw no one else there, and slowly lowered his bat.

it hadn't really been that long since they all got turned away from wellington --- well, kenny, anyways, but they followed suit --- and sarah was starting to talk more. it was a relief. clementine had no idea what to do if sarah was left permanently in shock or something because of what she had been through.

❝ are you sure? you can take it easy if you want to, sar. we got it. ❞ camp set up was always a hassle but at least it was one big chore and then it was done and they could rest. ❝ although i guess it's about time to feed aj, right? could you do that? ❞

i hate the fanons of luke. there, i said it. only reason for that is the majority of them were purely just based on they felt about him ( which btw, these same people also hated him to the extreme ) & decide to switch up his entire character to fit their narrative & it's just, stop it. i will admit though, there had been some that i did tolerate or ones that made me laugh, in a good way, especially when they claimed him to be a hipster since he canonically studied art history... like cool i see why, but i realised the hipster style never really actually suited him.

that said, i remember seeing some plausible but also some extremely wacky theories people had of luke like, i believe in the early episodes. i think my favourite had to be the one where luke was carver's son ( that & luke being bigby's ''''adopted'''' son cuz they were similar in appearance... okay then let's not talk about that i actually wrote bigby in the past too- ) but yet i actually made verses for them for the fun of it... but when i actually got to write it seriously with carver & bigby writers i like, grew to be fond of it lmfao.

like. i'm tempted to add those verses back, but at the same time, the lack of roleplayers of both twdg & twau is the only reason that i hold back from doing so. even if i did, it'll only be exclusive to one portrayal of said carver & / or bigby, but we'll see when we cross that bridge. u_u

          careful    fingers    pat    on    her    injury,    blood  soaked  into  the  cotton ball,  &  he's  regarding  each  flinch  sarah  gives.    ❛    just  hang  on  fer  a  lil'  longer  kiddo,    ❜    a  gentle  whisper  to  give  her  an  ease  of  her  mind,  a  glance  over  his  shoulder  for  a  lookout;  carlos  had  trusted  lucas  to  be  in  care  for  her  afterall    /    so  the  consequences  if  he  found  out  that  she'd  been  injured  would  be  disastrous.

a  clean  bandage  is  wrapped  around  her  arm,  tight  enough  for  it  to  be  secure,  &  pulls  away  once  it's  done.  a  sigh  passes  luke's  lips,  dark  hues  is  brought  up  to  meet  with  sarah's,    ❛    i  ain't  a  doctor  like  yer  dad,  but  that  should  do  it    .  .  .    hopefully,    ❜    a  hand  rests  on  the  nape  of  his  neck  as  he  rubs,    ❛    how  does  that  feel  ?    ❜

She watches as Sarah practices with the gun. She can’t help but frown, she’s going to hurt herself but she also needs to learn not to be too stiff. So with a sigh Clem comes up to her side.
