"Aww thanks you darling, I do try my best" Rowan gave the dragon a test hug. It was immaculately soft "So you're the one who has been sending all those plushies to dukey huh"

She put the dragon down in the pile of things her fans had sent her recently. She appreciated all of the things in the pile equally. Except for the whole ass fake sword, that was nr. 1.

"Hmm about his friends...Didn't the breakdown start when he realized he had feelings for them? What if seeing them makes him feel even worse? I don't-"

Just then a knock came on the door. Rowan went to check. Remus peaked up from the couch.

'take a knife. could be a murderer. or a brain sucking monster' He wrote into the text to speech app.

She rolled her eyes before taking a knife behind her back just to soothe his nerves. She opened the door by just enough of a margin to look out into the hallway.

"Sup ba- girl- I mean umh you? Sup you!" Remy greeted.

Rowan shook her fist to the gods who had cursed her life to always have as much dramatic timing as a telenovela!!

"Hello" She replied dryly.

"Ehh is your bro home? I was like tots worried about him and he has barely responded to my memes and I thought they were like great memes and I just wanna see if he's not like dead and I'm like wondering if I can come inside- or not- I can like leave??" They babbled out.

Rowan slammed the door shut right in their face. She turned to her brother "It's Remy. Should they come in?"

Remus thought for a long moment. He wanted to rip his heart out of his chest and devour it when it started to beat faster just at the thought of seeing them. His cheeks got warm.

He looked like a nervous wreck as he wrote 'binder'

"I got all the boob at birth anyway" She muttered.

After helping him on with the binder Rowan opened the door again. Remy was shoving parts of the hallway plant into their pockets. They stopped like a deer in highlights when they saw her. They stared at each other for a few seconds in silence.

"You can come in"

"Oh okay cool. Thanks gal!"

Remy stumbled into the apartment. Their eye whites were completely red and they smelled weird. They leaned on their cane to walk but it very obviously didn't work very well. It had duct tape in the middle, as if it'd been broken into two.

Rowan cast them icy glances while sitting down by the living room table. She put on lofi disney music, low enough so she would hear if anything went wrong.

"You good babe?" Remy asked their crush.

They collapsed onto the couch and forced a smile. Remus sat as far away as he could. He somehow took up less space than the pillows.

'not talking. can't open my mouth' He wrote. He tried to cover the ng tube going into his nose with his hand. It was taped to his cheek so it could easily be used during meal time.

"Cool. I talk too much either way so that should like even it out right? Y'know me. Tots annoying. Anyway cool tube!! They're totally fashionable right now! I'm like sure!"

'it's gross and great' He agreed.

"Yeah I got tubed at the hospital after-" Their eyes froze for a moment and their words choked on themself "So uh Apparently I was 'gravely underweight' and the tube just made everything like easier since my hands eh didn't work great. Jokes on them after leaving the hospital I went straight back to like underweight. But I'm sure it will help you!!"

'all the food looks like alien brains zooming into my organs'

"Awesome!"

They put on such a goofy look while doing thumbs up Remus let up into a small smile for the first time since the amusement park. It only lasted a moment as he saw the cane and furrowed his eyebrows at it. He reached out and took it to examine the tape in the middle.

"Oh babe. That was just. I just like tripped. it's like a bit old and the wood has like rotted a bit so it was like real easy for it to break apart. It's fine! I just dropped it. Yeah" They lied.

Remus fumbled after his pens and took out a blue one. Blue like the night sky. He moved it to the tape and drew a pretty sky. Stars, flowers and a moon filled it. He wrote 'Property of an honorary mean girl' in his finest crowwriting.

Remy smiled when he handed it back "Babe not gonna lie I thought you were gonna draw a dick but this is tots cute too!"

'flattered'

They fiddled with the cane. They looked down into the floor and bit their cheek.

"So uh babe do you wanna have like a sleepover?? We can invite Jan! Make it a real party!" They threw out the suggestion. "HEY Halloween is coming up! Honorary halloween sleepover??? I dunno???"

The anxiety on Remus' face got very obvious very quickly.

"We don't have to! Like babe it's fine. I can like stay over at Jan's place. Or y'know....go home...OBviously since I like live there. Have a sleepover with Virgil, like usual. Yeah that's fine. You can say no. No pressure"

Remus really did like the idea of hanging out but he also knew how easily he would freak out if anything even slightly went wrong. Just the thought of sleeping next to others made his blood feel cold. His intrusive thoughts kept going on about all the bad things that would definitely 100% happen.

Your voice came through right as Remus was close to stacking all of his stuffies on top of Remy, who was still sleeping, it was a mighty tower of fluff!

The mini-kraken bounced down on top of his head. He flinched and looked up "God????" He saw the kraken "OH BA-" He stopped and lowered his voice to not wake them "oh baaaby!!! thanks! I can give her big bloody claws!"

"I have been.....good" He lied "Great even. Spectacular. Like a hypothetical public execution where they stuff me full of fireworks before making me explode into a cascade of light!"

He carefully placed the mini-kraken on top of the tower of fluff. He sat on the floor right by the couch. The air stenched of alcohol and cigarette smoke. Rowan was going to lose her mind when she came home.

"Remy is feeling kind...how do I put this.....dragged through an ocean of sharp rocks to hell and back right now. I just wanna see them be all happy again like they deserve to be. I will have you know I would sacrifice several other people's toenails to make that happen!! I don't wanna see them sad!!"

(He didn't want to see them drunk either. He honestly hated being around drunk people....but it was Remy....so that made it just a bit more bearable)

"Umh what they told me? Everything Logan has said!! So I wanna hit him with a truck! Or put a really loud airhorn by his ear so his ears explode and his head starts bleeding!"

Remus twirled the ring on his finger while biting the inside of his cheek.

"They also told me all that stuff about how uhh Virgil kinda yells at them when he gets too anxious and uh how he calls them lazy and annoying and uh stupid and a burden kinda often and uh how they ehm kinda tend to dress differently when they're with him and uhm act different since he uhh gets anxious really easily about them like leaving him or cheating or looking at other guys and stuff like that y'know"

He twirled the ring faster.

"So y'know normal stuff. Like teasing and normal arguments. Or I guess maybe they should look into some couples therapy?? A lot of arguments isn't good I think. But teasing is kinda normal y'know so yeah. I don't get Jannie's and LoLo's reactions. They're just being overemotional and delusional and stuff like that ehm yeah. I mean it's kinda sweet if he gets so anxious about Remy leaving them isn't it? Kinda cute. kinda dorky. Like a beheaded chipmunk"

"babe?"

Remus turned around to see Remy rubbing their eyes open. They looked delirious. And yet they tried to get up.

"i need to get home- viv is gonna be worried- he's gonna think im hurt or dead or with someone- i need to- i need to-" They slurred out.

"You need some water and sleep" He gently held them back so they laid down again "You can tell him the therapy session messed you up, you got drunk and lost time okay?"

"mhmm. sound good" They made grabby hands towards him "need my stinky boo"

Remus tensed a bit. He didn't like cuddling drunk people either. But he didn't want to say no and be rude. He laid down next to them. They churned their face into the slope of his neck and moved their arms around him, they were clinging on like a koala honestly.

"i feel so sick" They mumbled out "alcohol is too much- too much cal-"

"You'll sleep it off"

"mhm"

Remus looked at them. In their half awake state and realized he could probably say anything and they wouldn't remember it.

He took their hand and pressed a kiss to the circular scar on their wrist. It made them shudder from how much more they wanted.

"...Remy my fav color has always been green. Obviously. It's slime, zombies and boogers. But ehm....I didn't have a specific fav green until I saw your eyes. They're my favorite color. Ever since I met you I've been seeing that color everywhere. it makes me happy every time I see it, every time I see you" He confessed.

Roman: "oh, Logan? Oh he's the best! We can sit for hours just discussing the good days."

Remus: He smiled. "I love Logie! Not as much as Mothy obviously, but he's the best!"

Virgil: It shrugged. "I guess he's cool. I mean, kinda annoying sometimes. But that's just kids for you."

Janus: "Cute kid.." They hummed softly, looking across the forest. "Could use some work on.. things though."
