I hate being the put together one. The friend who seems to have all the answers, who is always so mature and the best at dealing with things. Not because I donât like helping people, but because as soon as you fail, as soon as you make a mistake, you are ruined in their eyes.
They see you crumple before their eyes and instead of offering the same compassion as you did them, they throw you away. Your mistake now defines you, youâre messed up.
Then they move on, they werenât your friend. They were there for the ride and as soon as if got rough, they jumped off. Youâre left alone constantly overthinking everything you did and eventually realizing that you might deserve it because of the mistake you made.
Itâs ok to make mistakes. Itâs ok to not be perfect. Youâre allowed to be human, even when so many others say you canât be.
