Magnificent animals. Very hard to photograph through chain link. Such gratitude for the fascinating information about wolf behavior from both Dana Stangel of Teranga Ranch, and the behaviorists at the Julian Wolf Center. (Top photo is a male, bottom photo is a daughter submissively greeting her mom.)
The Julian Wolf Center raises Gray Wolves and Mexican Gray Wolves for reintroduction into the wild. They work hand-in-hand with ranchers both in the US and Mexico, to teach them techniques for protecting their livestock from wolves, while sharing the same terrain. This has been surprisingly successful.
