Shadow Self __ I am taking @mindfulmft and @mantalks 7-day relationship reset course. The questions in the worksheets hit home for me as some of the questions makes me think about who I am and allows me to focus on areas where I sabotage relationships. Yesterday's discussion was about Shadow vs Sacred Self. I've never heard of the term shadow self before so it is a new concept for me. After listening to them describe it and complete the worksheet, I am getting a better understanding of my shadow self. One of the exercises is to name your shadow so you can address it when it shows itself. I decided to name her "The Investigator" because when I'm scared I tend to investigate to validate. She shows up in various ways, such as an interrogator that's extra critical of my partner's feelings and intentions. I also feel like there is another side of my shadow self that's a little girl because as a coping mechanism she will hide and avoid sharing her feelings to protect herself from facing the internal or external truth. I'm not certain if you can have more than one shadow self, but more than one resonated with me. I think that's a good question for @mindfulmft and @mantalks. What do you think? Have you identified your shadow? #relationshipreset #somethingsabouther #tryingtobehealthy #workingongettingbetter #healthyrelationships #healthyboundaries #meditatewithme #Azblogger #phoenixarizona #phxblogger #stahfamily (at Goodyear, Arizona) https://www.instagram.com/somethingsabouther/p/Bw8qGqolJQg/?igshid=18e4is3fmpjkp
