Cornelia jumped away, knocking over the stool she had been sitting on in her haste to put distance between herself and the instrument like it had burned her.
She was more focused on the note she flubbed than listening for the door. She hummed the tune she was trying to play to herself, hitting the correct key when she got to the note she had gotten wrong. Only then did she realise she wasn't alone anymore.

His trip to Treviso had been brief, with Esha needing to remain behind. Finn had felt like a pigeon amongst the Crows, and so he had excused himself and returned to the Lighthouse, hoping to steal a nap before dinner.
He had claimed the music room almost from the moment of his arrival from the Fade, spending many free evenings in the cot in the corner, guitar in hand, playing songs that reminded him of home. The beaches, the sea, the easy freedom of the Rivaini way of life. But as he approached the room, he caught the muffled sound of music from within. He briefly wondered whether spirits were playing with the instruments, and decided it was best to slip inside quietly so as not to announce himself.
What greeted him was Cornelia at the harpsichord. And she was not playing badly at all, slowly, perhaps, as though finding her way back to something long set aside. The thought made him smile. So he stayed where he was for a while, content in the quiet of her presence and the music she drew from the keys.
Unfortunately, he made a noise at the wrong moment and his cover was blown. Of all the reactions he might have expected, a scolding for sneaking up on her, most likely, it was the embarrassment that caught him off guard. Finn couldn't help but grin at the reaction as he stepped closer.
"Not bad, for a Grey Warden," he teased, approaching the harpsichord and pressing a single key. "Can you show me?"
He knew he wouldn't pick it up easily. But truthfully, he just wanted to hear her play a little more.
