Look at my little lettuce! 😍 I am enjoying my experience while regrowing veggies so much that I am in no rush to plant the pea, spinach, carrot and lettuce seeds I purchased prior to regrowing my veggies from the grocery store. And while I planted two pea seeds alongside a lonely regrown onion last night simply because I don’t want the seeds not to serve their purpose, I must admit my interest in planting seeds isn’t as strong as it was when I purchased the seeds as I am finding along my journey that regrowing veggies is so much more exciting to me than planting seeds has ever been. However, in all fairness that may be because this regrowing experience brings back childhood memories of the time I grew a tall potato plant when I was a teenager in high school simply because I was told by an adult that I couldn’t grow anything from a budding potato, thus I should throw it away. As that teenager I just wanted to prove I could grow something as I felt the ‘flowery looking thing’ on the potato had to mean the potato could grow something. Why not at least try to grow me a potato to eat? 🤣🤷🏿♀️ Being given the go ahead from my grandmother to plant it in her flowerbed was like the best experiment ever back then. I remember being so excited as I watched this potato plant grow beautiful and tall. However, that excitement was short-lived as a neighborhood teen purposely trampled the plant to the ground. 🙈 I tried to save it but to no avail. Now regrowing other veggies, it was only fitting that I planted potatoes indoors as well as outdoors, plus a sweet potato for the icing on the cake to celebrate as growing another potato in order to finally see the outcome is more than 20 years overdue. 🌱 🍠😍 #VegOut4Life #HasItBeenThatLong What are some of your favorite foods to regrow? 🍆🍍🍓🥕🌶 ___________________ #regrowvegetables #regrowveggies #growyourownfood #kitchengardening #peas #lettuce #sproutedonions #oniongreens #greenonions #madteam #tahitiannonistrong
