   “ wooooowee -- you sure are tall! ”   izzy made the observation with genuine interest, before her eyes noted that this mare was not just a random tall pony -- she was an alicorn. well, gee! you go without seeing any earth ponies or pegasi for a good few hundred years, and then POOF, you see two alicorns in like a week of each other! who would’ve thought?       “ you have wings and a horn too? just like sunny! can anyone just grow wings now? because i think i’d look pretty good with ‘em..”

YES GOOD YES GOOD

AJ is like a warm blanket for Luna. She knows the Princess has gone through some rough times, even if she doesn’t completely understand it all, she knows she doesn’t need to. AJ offers what comfort she can give to Luna, whether it’s a warm cider, a snuggle after a nightmare (or...daymare? whenever it is she sleeps), or even a simple walk around the orchard.

Ever since the Princess started visiting her every so often, AJ keeps a dim light on in her room during the night, in case the Princess wants to come visit (and maybe curl up with her as dawn approaches).

Maybe AJ wouldn’t move into the castle in the future because she prefers the simple farm life, but that doesn’t put much of a damper on her and Luna’s relationship at all. I’m sure between nightly visits they form a way for easier communication.

They do have their disagreements on some grounds. AJ’s may have her heart set on Luna, but Twilight is one of her best friends and she can only take sitting in the middle for so long. AJ DOES defend her friend and argues that her status was well-deserved, but she doesn’t dig too deep in the subject as she believes it’s a conversation for the two princesses to have together.

Amethyst eyes rolled at the sight of the elder alicorn. Cadance sighed, making her way further into the room and draped the blanket she’d been carrying over the Princess of the Night. “Aunt Luna, you’re meant to be resting.” She reminded her, nudging her back against the pillows. She was so cold, as cold as Papa claimed Cadance had been when he’d found her in the snow... The princess frowned. “After all that happened... you need a break... Aunt Luna you- you’re leg’s just been amputated for Equestria’s sake!”

              HICCUP.

Oh dear, that’s not good, she jolts from where she’d been working at Sugarcube corner, frowning as the icing went everywhere due to her heavy tendency to have the heaviest hiccups. Putting a hoof over her mouth she let out another hiccup and jolted again quickly beginning to dig through the fridge and ingredients to find a cure, making quite the mess by the time the princess of the night came in for a late night snack.

           HICCUP

A clatter as she jolted and a bunch of pans fell down  of which she managed to barely catch with her tail, letting out a small curse hoof over her mouth.

         retirement, while welcome, was completely unwholly familiar to celestia, and as a pony who was so very often swamped with work from the moment that she awoke, she had started to find herself at a certain loss, of sorts. she did her best to keep busy, of course, despite how difficult it still was to keep a low profile, she was certainly making the most of all of her free time.           nevertheless, despite her attempts at staying busy, she was beginning to feel somewhat.. antsy, and as luna eventually rose out of bed, celestia moved forward, greeting her with a smile.
