#Repost @regineromain —— “Nou Pap Bliye” in Haitian Kreyòl means “we will never forget.” On 12 January 2010 a catastrophic earthquake struck Haiti and over 350,000 people lost their lives. I was there, three weeks afterwards, brought aid and photographed all that I saw. This commemorative coloring book is based on those historic photos and transformed into beautiful illustrations by Tiffani Gomez, my talented niece. @tigobitti This project seeks to honor those who perished ten years ago in Haiti and to respect those who carry on their memories. The "Diaspora Diaries: An Educator’s Guide to MoCADA Artists” (Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Art in Brooklyn New York) is a representation of the range of her artistic work.
