once upon a time ,   she did learn all of this .   the different dances     .  .  .     only she had been the man taking the lead ,   while daphne learned how to dance when none of her brothers was around .   standing on this side ,   she feels a little lost .   her hand rest in his   &   she is looking more down at their feet than him ,   not wanting to step on the viscount .   (   when younger she might not have minded as much .   )   but things are different now .   she isn’t a kid anymore .   this is no ball ,   it’s mostly educational and honestly she isn’t sure how she got tricked into it .   violet had a way with words she has noticed .   suddenly she is standing here     .  .  .     hyacinth next to herself   &   gregory is her partner .   perfectly innocent .   some sort of switch of dance partner had just happened ,   not perfect but it somewhat explained the logistics for the two .      

       she was meant to be the star of this show. receiving all of the accolades and roses that were being thrown at her replacement’s feet. she had never cursed her body for failing her as much as she did this day. estelle could have pushed through the pain if it had not been written all over her features. if only she could have hid her feelings better then she could have been seen as the talent she was. their producers would have never allowed that with the prince in attendance. it was too much of a risk. she knew an opportunity like this would never been in her grasp again, she felt hallow at the thought. 

       instead she was watching it unfold from backstage. ankle wrapped tightly and a growing ache in her throat. her cheeks were wet and smelled like salt. while alicia did a stunning job estelle was not a good enough woman to congratulate her in this moment. instead she found herself weaving through building to head toward the exit. she found herself swiftly running into another. estelle clutched onto the railing of the stairs for some stability.

𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐓𝐋𝐄 𝐒𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐖𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐒 𝐀 𝐒𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐍 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐄 𝐀𝐓 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓. body is settled comfortably at the piano bench, fingers not yet poised on the keys as eyes occupy themselves with previewing new sheet music colin had given her. a pencil in hand, young lady makes slight changes to what she feels would sound much better than what is given. ( francesca will always be thankful for gifts, but the piano is the one thing she knows most of. a passion, something that occupies her mind. she's studied it almost mercilessly & she greatly dislikes when composers do certain things in their music. )

"i told them to keep rakes and rapscallions out of my dressing rooms." she chided. her face was still painted from the show and she wasted no time grabbing drinks for them. "how is the ton? have you told them i've missed them terribly?" the cherub tilted her head, taking a sip of her drink. "although they seem to have you quite enthralled. has someone finally caught your eye?"
