what is your character’s name ? Anna-Maria Fainello

do they like it ? She doesn’t see any reason not to like it. It’s a simple yet beautiful name in her opinion and wouldn’t trade it for anything else.

do they have any nicknames ? Her father used to call her his “lil buttercup” and it remains her favorite flower until now. But other than that, she has none.

how old is your character ? twenty years old

when is their birthday ? September 17th

do they feel young or old ? It’s that weird inbetween thing. She definitely doesn’t feel old for she’s only just reached her twenty but at the same time, she’s a bit too old to feel young. Perhaps it’s the war that had worn her down.

how do they feel about death ? Perhaps a bit numb to it. Though she was not in the battlefield, she saw death everyday. She saw what horrifying things that comes before death. 

where is your character from ? Lucca, Italy.

do they like it there ? She does. Nothing ever feels like home more than Lucca but now home is painful for her and that’s why she flees.

how do they feel about rome ? Though she had moved into Rome when she was quite young and spent half her life in Rome and knew the way inside out (mostly), it’ll always be “The Big City” for her.

what is their sexual orientation ? She hasn’t quite found out and hasn’t really had the desire to. For all she know, it’s men and women but she also had had an odd, fluttering feeling for her female friend in the past.

are they open about it ? Nothing to be open about for she hasn’t really known about herself yet.

how do they feel about romance ? At the moment, she thinks it a luxury she can’t really afford. Nor does she wants to.

what are their thoughts on religion ? She is religious, especially after the war for it had helped her cope with otherwise stressful things that could ruin her. 

do they believe in ghosts ? No.

do they believe in the supernatural ? No. But it’s fun to think that Babbo Natale is real.

are they supersticious ? Perhaps just a little bit. She doesn’t really believes them, like the unlucky number 17 or lucky number 13 but some things she really adhere to. Tocca ferro!

what did they do during the war ? She helped out her father and became a volunteer nurse.

is there anything they regret doing ? Perhaps that choice wasn’t the best. She regretted it, regretted how stubborn she was being for what she saw there has turned her world and herself upside down. But at the same time, her father would have passed on alone if she wasn’t there. It’s a conflicting thing.

do they remember the world before the war ? No. For her, the world has always been at war. 

how do they feel about the war ending ? Skeptical. the waring world is the only world she knows. She doesn’t know what comes now that it’s over or if it’s really over.

how tall is your character ? 165cm ; 5′4

how much do they weight ? 50kg ; 110 pounds

what color are their eyes ? Dark brown

what color is their hair ? Blonde

do they have any scars ? Hidden by their clothes, a little bit of cuts here and there.

how do they dress ? When she’s not in uniforms, she’s dressed in simple, neat and well worn dresses that are of whites with earthy tones as accents.

how do they feel about their appearance ? She’s satisfied with her looks. Definitely not the prettiest gem out there but she has her father’s eyes and looks similar to her mother and there’s nothing more she wants.

does your character drink ? Yes sometimes, when the occasion calls for it. 

are they violent ? If she was before –– and what a feisty little thing she was before all the nightmares come to her –– she’s definitely not now. A mousy and timid young woman.

are they self-destructive ? No.
