makeup is def. one of karen’s hobbies & it’s a skill set she actually takes pride in bc it’s not often that u see a talented trainer be invested in something that’s viewed mostly as “frivolous” while being strong af. everything she’s learned was self-taught – she didnt really have anyone to teach her growing up, but growing up in goldenrod city, it was normal to see billboards & magazine stands w/ makeup advertisements. so that’s prob where she was exposed to the whole idea of wearing it – w/ practice she got better, only wearing a bit of mascara & lip gloss when she was a teen to being able to contour & highlight properly by 19 —– she still likes to learn & keep herself updated w/ new techniques and products, having connections in unova & kalos (where both the fashion & makeup industries are thriving and becoming more socially acceptable among pkmn trainers)
🎉 — hosting parties
when she wants to, karen can host a good party but she’s more of the type to attend a party then host one. she’s the type that likes to actually enjoy a good party & she finds that when u host one, u don’t really get as much fun out of it since it’d mostly be her dealing w/ getting drinks & food and what not … & the cleaning afterwards .
