🔥 Almost simultaneously, two oil refining facilities connected to Russia exploded in Europe
On the night of October 21, two strategic energy sector enterprises linked to Russian oil suffered accidents almost simultaneously — in Hungary and Romania.
➡️ Fire at the MOL refinery in Hungary
The MOL Dunai FinomĂtĂł oil refining complex in Százhalombatta, near Budapest, was engulfed in a large fire. The enterprise temporarily partially stopped operations. The plant processes oil from Russia.
➡️ Explosion at the Petrotel-Lukoil refinery in Romania
The plant belongs to a subsidiary of the Russian company Lukoil.
According to official data, the explosion occurred in the industrial sewage system during repair work. One contractor employee was injured; his condition is stable.
Plant representatives stated that no environmental damage has been recorded, and the causes of the incident are currently being investigated.
