Module - Performance & Character
Footage I filmed with my peers in order to make our running/climbing animations. I might have to make my character a more slow and bumbling character, given that I’m basing their climbing on footage of me, and I couldn’t climb very fast. . In order to present them here, I chose to stitch these clips together in Premiere Pro, not in order of when they were filmed but instead when in the animation the actions they depict are meant to happen.
Module - Performance & Character
The last reference I filmed with my friend in the first week, with this one I’m likely going to take liberties in the animation itself, mainly switching the moving arms so that the right leg and right arm don’t move forward at the same time, vice-versa for the left side. As with regular walks, I feel that having the arms move forward with the legs instead of in the opposite direction looks off, although I think when it comes to skipping like this it could potentially work.
Module - Performance & Character
I decided to add a dejected kick into my character’s performance, and since I could not find a good reference for what I was looking for online, I ultimately chose to record my own reference.

Module - Performance & Character
This is the reference for my Limp walk animation, which I filmed with my friend. It can be hard to tell in this footage which foot he’s supposed to be limping on, despite the fact he put a charger plug in his shoe (I didn’t ask him to either) to make it authentic. I believe he’s limping on his right foot in this footage, however.
This is the reference footage I was able to film for my lip syncing project, it took a little while to get as the speech I choose to use was a little more complicated them I first anticipated. I am really happy with my assistance body movement she created the character well and I know it will be good to use when I come to actually animating. I decided to change the pan shot to just a still shot and the character is talking to the other so it would be best to have them both on screen the whole time. I am not so happy with my performance and I found it slightly uncomfortable but I did it and I had the right body posture so I will be able to use it to help me animate my character. I will hopefully record some one saying the actual sentence, just there mouth so I have some reference footage of the words actually being said so I wont mess up the mouth movement me as bad as I am worried I am going to.
If this strikes you as strange, that’s because it is.
