Tokyo digital art museum looks to 'expand the beautiful'
This is the art of immersive installation that I like very much. One part is that the viewer step on the ground, the ground will bloom with the footprints, very creative, and it is a direct interaction. This is also why I want to add an interactive part to my work.

A conversation I had with a guy that used to date a very close friend of mine. After the breakup he deleted all of his social media accounts and stopped appearing out at parties or events. This continued for about 3-4 years, until I saw him at the pub where all of my friends hang out. This is how the conversation went.
( his name will be Fred for the purposes of this assignment)
Me: Fred! What the hell!
Fred: Hey, its been a while.
Me: yeah no kidding, what happened?
Fred: I deleted my Facebook.
Me: Thats what I mean, where have you been?
Fred: I know, but I'm back now!
Me: Good, I missed you! What have you been up to?
Fred: nothing really.

After deciding what question I wanted to do, I realised how relevant this conversation was. The whole time we were talking, we were treating his disconnect from social media as if he had gone away for a few years. Of course he was still just existing as he always had, going to his school and being with his family, but I honestly almost forgot about him. I didn't see him popping up on my newsfeed with completely irrelevant information like I do with most of my 'friends', so it was as if he didn't exist. The strangest part was that it seemed he also felt as if he had disappeared, saying things like "I'm back." The contemporary self is quantitative, constantly receiving information that we collect and store, but hardly think about. It becomes a subconscious thing. We only see whats projected to us by others via social media, and this changes how we see ourselves. We see certain people posting certain photos that indicate a particular type of person that they want to appear to be. We can't exist without people seeing our updates constantly through social media.
