Redthroat Pyrrholaemus brunneus
It is endemic to Australia, occurring mostly in arid and semi-arid areas containing acacia and chenopod shrublands. The species has a distinctive red throat patch and is able to mimic the calls of numerous other bird species. Redthroats are omnivores with a diet consisting of seeds from grasses and shrubs as well as a broad variety of invertebrates, such as spiders, insects, and gastropods.

July 22, 2020 - Redthroat (Pyrrholaemus brunneus)
Found in parts of southern Australia, these Australasian warblers live in shrublands, savannas, and wetlands. Foraging on the ground or in low vegetation, they eat invertebrates, including beetles, ants, grasshoppers, moths, and spiders, as well as grass seeds. They build domed nests with side entrances from bark, dry grass, feathers, wool, hair, fur, and plant fibers, on or near the ground. Pairs sometimes raise two broods a year.
