No spoilers. Brief review. Book two of the Red Queen Series titles Glass Sword by @victoriaaveyard Maybe I wasn’t paying attention close enough. When I started book two it seemed to jump very quickly into action but wasn’t a smooth transition from book 1. Still enjoying the series. In book two we focus on betrayal, winning, and finding inner selves that seem jumbled and lost in the fray of war. Our lead really relies on a poor mahantra of, “anyone can betray anyone.” In her grief, struggle to discover who she is inside, and probably PTSD —- she seems to run on empty and her gut instinct is way off allowing her to misjudge situations. The author portrays her as a level headed girl who is light in her feet thanks to years of survival by theft and cunning. Looking forward to seeing where the series takes me.
