Rowena Lewis also known as “Red Matope” is a Self-taught Indigenous Artist who is born for the Diné (Navajo People); her clans are Hashtł'ishnii (Mud clan) and Naakai dine'é (Mexican clan). Red Matope is based out of Shiprock, New Mexico; She is a Daughter/Sister/Wife/Mother/Aunt who has always had a passion for the arts; if she is not being a full time nurse she is creating art; she is inspired by R. C.
