Just placing a few American War Comics into the store. 🇺🇸 Published in the 1950's these comics have little threshold in depicting the enemy faced by America. As the attrition of the Korean War played on an U.S. public already fatigued by WWII an essence of propaganda was used to motivate. The red fear 😱 and the stereotyping and caricature of the enemy (similar to WWII Propaganda of the Japanese 'Yellow Peril') created an enemy that any comic loving American boy could fear and hate and provide rationale why Dad wasn't home. A fascinating context of history with some pretty far out heroic stories inside to read these comics are very collectable.
