Ticci Toby x GN! reader drabble ^_^

Toby's room was an absolute waste bin. Dirty socks that could probably stand upright on their own and crumpled bedsheets were scattered across every available surface. The floor wasn't much better, buried beneath a graveyard of unwashed plates and empty pizza boxes. Anime and movie posters decorated the walls, the edge of one was hanging by a single corner like a dog's floppy ear.

The air was thick with a truly horrifying combination of sweat, body spray, and several other smells you couldn't quite identify. Toby had proudly informed you that he'd apparently "cleaned up for you," which only left you wondering how much dirtier it must have looked beforehand.

Anyway, one thing led to another, and the two of you ended up tangled together on his nasty bed, right beside an old body pillow of his. In a moment of curiosity, you brushed your tongue inside the scar stretching from the corner of his mouth toward his cheek, licking his teeth in the process.

Toby let out a startled yelp and instinctively shoved you away, his face instantly turning a bright red. He slapped both hands over his face immediately, but you could see the hue of his ears changing color regardless, standing out against his pale skin.

Toby absolutely loved stealing your body heat.

It wasn't exactly surprising, actually. His skin was always cold, almost unnaturally so, like touching a corpse. Whenever he had the chance, he'd shamelessly use you as his personal heater.

You were so focused on what you were doing that you didn't notice him creeping up behind you. Without warning, he slipped both hands beneath the hem of your shirt, his icy palms settling against your waist.

"Cold!" you yelped, jolting at the sudden chill against your skin.

A lazy grin spread across Toby's face. He leaned down until he was at your height, resting his chin on your shoulder while his freezing hands stubbornly stayed where they were. "Yo-you're so warm," he mumbled, nuzzling his cheek against yours. "Like-like a rock that's been sitting in the su-sun." He sighed in contentment, soaking up every bit of your warmth.

Sometimes, just sometimes,

D3rlord3 allows himself the luxury that is to dream. It happens particularly on cold nights, when the two of you lie together on the bed he built with his own bare hands, trapped in each other’s warmth. When sleep has taken you hours ago, but not him. So for whatever absurd reason, he stays awake just a little longer, just to gaze at you. The sight calming his mind that usually races with waves and waves of thoughts.

What he does dream about, though, he finds quite embarassing, but alas, what's a man got to do except to dream when the only certainty is uncertainty?

He lets his mind drift sometimes, and it always seems to carry him to the same place. A small, cozy cottage tucked between fields of flowers that the both of you planted together, with a little garden out back and maybe a cat or two, And of course, there’s his favorite part.

You show up.

You smile at him, say something about going to look at the sea together later. He's not sure about exactly what you said, because he's not really listening, he's just happy you're here. And so he smiles back.

Sometimes he changes the little details, shifting things around depending on how he feels, but you never change. You’re always there in those silly little fantasies of his.

With a quiet sigh, he turns his head until he’s facing you, close enough to trace the line of your shut eyes without touching. It’s a foolish thought, he knows, given everything, but sometimes it creeps in anyway, the fear that one day you’ll close them and never open them again.

If he let himself be selfish, even just a little, he’d ask for one more day, just one more day, for this exact same thing. Lying beside you, with nothing in the world to worry about.
