Not been up to much really.. keeping my head down, treading water, surviving, playing records where I can, doing the magical real radio show, started an experimental bandcamp called magical real, hung out with some beauties for dinner a couple of weeks back, might be non binary or adjacent now, feeling healthier, smoking weed still, trying to corral a 16yr old & an 11yr old and permanent but very hairy 4 legged toddler, still sadly single & still live in hackney

Traveling while trans is exhilarating and scary all at the same time. I sloppily tucked hoping to avoid a TSA groin anomaly, and surprisingly didn’t have one. I haven’t peed yet and im hoping no one clocks the nearly six foot trans woman literally just trying to (to quote @yvettenicolebrown from COMMUNITY) discretely eliminate waste. But I brought a couple talismans to remind me I’m gonna be ok and can do hard things. I brought both @janetmock ‘s books #RedefiningRealness & #SurpassingCertainty with me, which have helped me remind me I’m doing exactly what I need to be authentic and happy. So one quick thing before bed. This maxi dress? I bought it inspired by @janetmock ‘s cover of #redefiningrealness . And it’s the best and most femme I’ve felt in a minute. Tonight was a lot. Tonight I felt a lot of love but also tremendous fear. I sat in my car on Vandeventer for twenty minutes summoning the courage to go into the bar I call home. I felt so vulnerable in this dress. I began to think to so many of our trans sisters and brothers murdered, and walked quickly with purpose. But I’m glad I did. I felt so much love from my drag family and my chosen stage family.
