The lab was deep underground, one of the few that remained intacte enough and with sufficient stockpiles to be operational. Despite the damage both old and new, it was clean and state of the art⦠well except for the one room that had a small crew slowly working through the carnage that filled it.The blood throughout the room, a good portion of it was unforntuatly from the specimen but the majority of it was the hired muscle. Their broken lifeless bodies only now being moved and the remains prepped to be disposed of- subduing and containing the girl had come first.
They were careful to make detailed notes of not just the fight that had taken place, the amount of drugs that were used but also the amount of time it took and the full extent of the injuries incurred. Dislocated left shoulder, fratured right wrist, oblique frature of the left femur, several lacerations and a large abdominal stab wound.
Working off of corrupted and incomplete files was a challenge but having a live specimen change it all. Not only a living example of what can be achieved but if the files are correct, she was made of all the most precious samples that Shinra had collected. Being built from Cetra, Jenova and the most powerful being that had ever come out of the labs Sephiroth.
Demented eyes staring on coldly as their prize drifted to the bottom of the tube with the glowing liquid draining out. This was their chance, at last, the chance to rebuild, to fix the world as it had been before, before everything went to shit and it all became nothing but slums and hardship everywhere. To go back to the strength and wealth that had existed before their leaders fell and they had lost everything.
The tank was empited and the limp body inside was removed- still alive, nearly completely healed and unresponsive. She had been badly damaged in the initial capture and again during the initial attempt at containment- taking an absurd amount of sedatives to get her to a point that the crew of mercenaries could even just hold her still.
So far the notes were right, as most of the damage was repaired and there was no reaction to stimuli.
Though the files were damaged and difficult to read- they had become nearly incomprehendable disjointed thoughts by the end of the entries; the specimen was supposidly physically resistant to the toxic nature of mako but weak to the cognitive side effects.
For the time being this was perfect- she was preped for the operating theater. Several Ivās already started, one being yet more mako- to further boost her enhanced healing and finish off the last of the damage and ensure she wouldnāt wake. There was no way in knowing how quickly her body could work through the poison- if it was anywhere near as quickly as the traquilizers, they would be in trouble.
They needed to collect samples before opening her up to see the extent of the modifications that had been done but at the moment they had the arrogance and confidence to stand around arguing if they should or should not cut her hair.
Ailthe was left bare on the metal table, alone in the blindingly bright and chilled room; lines and wires connected to arms and pulse points. Normally running warmer than a human, she seemed nothing more than a cadaver- so pale and still and cold to the touch.
