She paused in her ministrations at the sound of his voice; he’d finally spoken to her, eyes widening at the achievement. The flowers were right it was a good idea, they didn’t always talk but sometimes their whispers reached her; the daisies were their suggestion.
She didn’t know this person or much at all from the fragmented memories that remained after being stored for years submerged in mako- but what she did know was he felt like her and she wanted to learn more. When he had passed through, she silently followed him like a stray, leaving behind the nice people who had helped her relearn to talk and taken her in from wandering the slums.
“I am Project Heir… but the name the others gave me is nicer.” She leaned back to sit on the grass before him crossing her legs and putting both hands in her lap. “the black suits...the Turks…” she had to remember that name. “They called me Aileth.” Tilting her head slightly and offering a small smile.
She watched his face to see if there was a change- maybe he knew of her?
“Don’t have many memories, I was kept in a tank for a long time, the ones I do have aren’t very good.” She shifted uncomfortably, idly pulling at the green blades around her. “But you felt familiar a-and I haven’t seen anyone with eyes like mine before… so I sort of followed. I did meet someone with my face, but her friends didn’t like me. One of them came at me with a big sword and I ended up hurting him.” there was a slight frown on her downcast face at the shameful memory, and how mad everyone had been. “Didn’t mean to.”
There was quiet between the two, just the slight breeze through the grass and wild flowers to fill the silence. It was the most Aileth had spoken in such a long time- maybe it was too much? Oh but there was still. “I don’t remember you though- I’m sure I would have since…” she points to her eyes, they were still bright and full of interest. “but there’s nothing.”
