The definition of 'out for fresh air' in the Big Apple can be very relative - the air outside isn't much clearer than the one inside, specially when the person in question smokes like a chimney it's even more subjective. Bigby was out and about, walking around the Fabletown streets after long boring hours of reports and paperwork , a well-deserved breather before something happens. Trouble tends to brew way too often, specially when the sheriff was around.

A familiar face among the many others drew his attention. After all, she could had been the fairest of all. Her hair was red and bright as the morning sun , skin as pure as porcelain and fierce thorns like the wild roses growing in the woods - Rose Red.

" 'Evening, Rose." the wolf greeted her " Lovely day, isn't it? How have you been?"

"Yeah, but you're also a little thorn, rosebud-boy."

"Daddy!"

"Oh, no no no! You come back here, Hyacinth, before I call your mom AND your aunt."

"Daddy!"

"You don't run like that on the woods all alone, okay? You just don't!"

"But... but Dare---"

"No. They're wolves. Little wolves but still wolves. You're not."

"A rosebud?"

If one thing, he knows Rose Red wasn’t slow or careful with her steps, not the way she’s approaching him as if he is an scared cat she wants to pet. And he knows why, he always knows when she come to him that way, casual and slow, measuring each step: guilt, that’s a walk of someone who is feeling guilty. And even if he knows better than save a grudge every time she was upset throwing tantrums, he also isn’t such a nice guy as everyone thinks.

brotp friendship them with: Colin, because Colin. Seriously, I have ideas of them just being like the type of friends that they are just like “HEY FUCKFACE. YOU’RE PRETTY NEAT.” And i have this head canon that in the comic verse, when Colin died, Rose was devastated, because Colin was one of the few people who never judged her and was always there for her, not because he wanted to get with her, but because he truly valued her as a person. 

Oh, I just made myself sad. 

general opinions: I love Rose. Rose is definitely one of my favorite charcaters from fables, and the fact that she has never had a spinoff comic of her own really annoys me. 

Rose is my baby, and the entire arc between issues 70 and 90 absolutely devastated me. I can’t read those comics anymore because they break my damn heart whenever rose is there and I just,… UGH.
