SUPER LONG CHAPTER!! seriously, this one is twice as long as all my others. but you'll be proud that I didn't split it in half. again.
you may have noticed i took some hashtag artistic liberties in the latest chapter. the structure will make more sense when the next chapter is posted, since they were originally part of the same one, but just so there’s some clarity in the meantime:
it’s nonlinear, so some bits (the ones surrounded by the technical jargon) are memories. you may remember from earlier in the story, shadow mentioned the memory of when sonic built the house he lives in. sound familiar?
beyond those, the rest is chronological, picking up from the end of chapter 4. the present-tense represents… well, the present, and the past tense is from a long time ago.
again, all will be explained. in the meantime, i’ll probably be posting a lot more about this work, because i’ll explode if i don’t talk about it. see you soon!

i actually wrote an alternative scene of lavender haze from blaze’s perspective where she’s utterly whipped for amy, and it turned out better than the published fic so i’m not sure how to feel about that. i adore them so much.
anyway, been reading the comments on gauntlet and i just wanted to share my appreciation again. i’m not sure when the next chapter will be out, it will likely be a few weeks. but thank you to everyone who’s reading and enjoying so far!!!!!

right now, my two main projects are phantom pains and The Gauntlet Fic (tm), so those will be getting the updates. but i also have other little ones that i’ll be posting within the next century or so
